Beginners are our specialty.

New to Jiu-Jitsu? Here’s what you need to know to fit right in and get ready to take your first class.

The process begins by scheduling your first class.

WHAT TO BRING

Just the essentials.

Wear workout clothes

For your trial class, all you need is form-fitting clothing, something you'd work out in. Athletic shorts, pants, and a t-shirt will do the trick.

Pack a water bottle

And anything else you need to be comfortable—like a sweat towel and deodorant.

HOW TO PREPARE

Make sure your ducks are in a row.

Come in clean

Training is up close and personal, so make sure you come in clean and with your nails neatly trimmed. And make sure you remove all jewelry before getting on the mats

Know where you’re going

Make sure you know where we are located, and the time your class begins. Even better, show up a little early so we can get you signed in and show you around.

WHAT’S CLASS LIKE?

Most adult classes last 60 minutes & 45 minutes for kids to push the mind and body.
During class, everything else goes out the window. You forget about work and school. You stop looking at the clock. It’s just you, your coach, and your training partners.

WHAT ELSE?

That’s it! The only thing that’s left to do is to sign up for your first class — if you haven’t already.
